Hyperion CAP 232 25e
These super-light models are at the top of the 3D aerobatic world today. Available in three scale renditions of real aerobatic competition aircraft, you have choices of the Sukhoi SU-31, the CAP-232, or the EDGE 540T. Constructed of hand-picked light balsa and ply, the fuselage, wing, and tail groups carefully follow the lines of the full-size models, but the Hyperion engineers have stretched wing area and control surfaces for controllable high-alpha performance at very low flight speeds. You don't have to give up scale beauty for this performance: The hand painted fiberglass cowls are a work of art. The pre-painted super-clear canopies are already mounted on a wood frame, with instant-access retention systems. Battery access in a few seconds keeps things easy and safe... In terms of size, the "25e" models can be related to "Engine 25" (0.25ci) models, but the little "e" means they are 100% electric. Designed from the "ground up" around the extremely powerful Hyperion Z3019-12 motor, you have to experience the performance yourself to believe it. At about 200W per pound, "Unlimited Vertical" is just the beginning! The models have extremely light wing loading in the range of 14 ounces per square foot! Their light weight coupled, generous wing area, and extremely rigid construction make them razor sharp performers in the 3D arena. One test pilot said: "It's like Hyperion includes a set of 'pro thumbs' in every box!". These are the kind of models that get taken out every weekend; they're just that much fun to fly! The wings of SU-31 and EDGE 540 models are joined by a large-diameter carbon tube, and removable in a matter of a few seconds for easy transport to the field, and for storage at home (CAP232 has a stong, light single-piece wing). Bigger flies better, and these larger 3D models is also very easy to see at a distance. That sharpens the maneuvers of any pilot, and is especially helpful if your eyes aren't "what they used to be". Contrasting stripes on wing bottom really help with orientation.

Hyperion P-51 ARF
The Hyperion Mustang P-51D "25" is the first in a series of models which define a new class. Hyperion saw a need for larger models with wingspan of about 1.2 meters (47" ~52") which are designed from the ground up with electric flight in mind, and which sacrifice nothing in scale detail, accessories, and quality of finish. This size of model is easiest to classify as "engine 25 size", simply because no clear rating system exists for larger electric models. In fact, we realized after flying the Mustang that it's light - but that it is also rugged. What we love best about this Mustang is the combination of sweet manners (often not the case with Mustangs!) and wide speed envelope. With the Z3025-08 and a 10x7 prop she has good speed and plenty of thrust for large loops, but barely uses 340W maximum power. You could use a battery as small as HP-LVX2100-3S with this setup. But we recommend the HP-LVX2500-3S or HP-LVX3300-3S instead, for longer duration when you use the APC "E" 10x10 prop. With this setup the P-51 still slows down nicely when requested, but is also capable of blazing-fast low passes and absolutely HUGE loops. INCLUDES ALUMINUM RETRACTS!

Hyperion Yak 54

Hyperion Yak 54 40e 2008 scheme
Second-generation Yak54 in the popular 40e-class. With improved contruction techniques, boundaries are constantly pushed and this Yak54 is extremely light. Painted undercarriage with scale appearance, phenolic fiber horns, pull-pull on rudder and a brand new canopy latch mechanism are amoung the high lights. The covering on the Yak lends itself against the Helios line with this vibrant scheme. It may not be scale, but it sure does look great! Underside is solid blue with white stripes for easy orientation in the air.

The Hyperion YAK-54 40e sets the new benchmark in electric aerobatic models. Constructed of hand-picked light balsa and ply, the fuselage, wing, and tail group carefully follow the lines of the full-size Russian YAK 54. The hand painted fiberglass cowl is simply... a work of art: YAK54 louvers are molded in, and the paint and striping are a perfect color match to the model covering. The prepainted super-clear canopy is already mounted on a wood frame, with a preinstalled canopy latch for retention to the fuselage (sorry, nothing for you to do here either!). Battery access takes just a few seconds... In order to please the 3D enthusiasts, Hyperion designers increased the aileron, elevator, and rudder surface area, while staying very near the original outlines of the whole flying surface. Unusual for a model in this size range, the tail group is fully airfoiled; just another pointer to the dedication of the Hyperion design crew. It's all simply beautiful, and a lot of fun when your club members crowd around to get a look at the YAK... In terms of size, the YAK-40 "40e" can be related to "Engine 40" class models, but the little "e" means it is 100% electric. Designed from the "ground up" around the extremely powerful Hyperion Z4020-14 motor, you have to experience the performance yourself to believe it. At about 200W per pound, "Unlimited Vertical" is just the beginning! The YAK-54 40e weighs in at 5 pounds maximum. This very light weight coupled with generous wing area and extremely rigid construction lend the YAK-54 an extremely wide performance envelope, from 3D Maneuvers to high-speed, Big Sky Aerobatics. It will surly become the model that gets taken out every weekend; it's that much fun to fly! The wings are removable in a matter of a few seconds, for easy transport to the field, and storage at home. Bigger flies better, and this large model is also very easy to see at a distance. That sharpens the manuvers of any pilot, and is especially helpful if your eyes aren't "what they used to be". In the May 2006 issue Fly RC Magazine, they say this about the YAK 54 40e: "The Hyperion Yak-54 “40e” is exactly what I was looking for. It is a .40-size scale aerobatic model that not only comes in lighter than its glow counterpart, it also offers superior performance. It also comes standard with items usually found only with much larger and costlier airplanes. These include a carbon wing tube, airfoiled tail surfaces, and a perfectly painted fiberglass cowling. The Hyperion Yak has it all – including performance to match!"

Yak 55 Black

Hyperion Yak 55 10e
The Hyperion YAK-55SP "10e" is perhaps the most faithfully scale small aerobatic model today. Constructed of hand-picked light balsa and ply, the fuselage, wing, and tail group carefully follow the lines of the full-size Russian aerobat. The hand painted fiberglass cowl is simply... a work of art: YAK55 louvers are molded in, and the paint and striping are a perfect color match to the model covering. The prepainted super-clear canopy is already mounted on a wood frame, with neodymium magnets installed for retention to the fuselage (sorry, nothing for you to do here either!). In order to please the 3D enthusiasts, Hyperion designers skillfully increased the aileron, elevator, and rudder surface area a great deal, in such a way that it actually enhances the purposeful (almost Vicious!) aerobatic look of the YAK55. Showing up at the field with this model is almost as fun as flying it, when your buddies crowd around to get a peek... In terms of size, the YAK-55SP "10e" can be related to "Engine 10" class models, but the little "e" means it is 100% electric. Designed from the "ground up" around the extremely powerful Hyperion Z3007-26 motor, you have to experience the performance yourself to believe it. "Unlimited Vertical" has to be re-defined! With an 8g micro receiver, 7-gram servos, and the Hyperion LVX1200-3S 20C lithium battery, and Z3007-26 power set, our YAK-55SP weighs in at 651 grams (23.25 oz). This very light weight coupled with generous wing area and extremely rigid construction lend the YAK-55SP an extremely wide performance envelope, from 3D Maneuvers to high-speed, Big Sky Aerobatics. It is a blast to fly!

Hyperion Cub 10e
The Piper Cub may be the most 'classic' of all the old-timers out there. Like all the Hyperion 10e class models, this Piper Cub was designed from the ground up specifically for electric power. Hyperion engineers gave much thought to the shape and location of the battery hatch, which is a prime concern for e-modelers. Located on the bottom of the fuselage near the nose, the hatch allows instant access to the battery, and makes positioning the battery correctly easy - such that no ballast is needed to obtain proper balance of the model. Using motors in the Z2213 class (we suggest Z2213-20) the Cub can be a graceful scale flyer using a 9x4.5 APC E prop, or very aerobatic using the 9x6 E propeller. No matter how aggressively you choose to fly the Cub 10e, she looks just great in the air. The Hyperion designers have built this model to nearly perfectly mimic the lines of the full-size cub, and added many details to make her 'just right'. She's a beauty!
